Legendary wrestler Owen Hart has been shown in a wrestling video game for the first time in 20 years.
The late wrestler, who tragically died in the ring at the WWE's Over the Edge pay-per view in 1999, has been confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming AEW: Fight Forever.
His appearance in the AEW branded wrestling project marks Hart's first video game appearance since Showdown: Legends of Wrestling back in 2004.

But his last featured appearance in an in-house WWF video game came in 1999 with WWF Attitude, meaning it has been some time since Owen Hart was playable with realistic graphics.
Hart's appearance in AEW: Fight Forever comes from a partnership with the Owen Hart Foundation non-profit charity, with the company hosting an Owen Hart Foundation Cup in the real-life ring.
Because of this, it would appear Hart is set to take his digital place in the ring with an appearance in AEW's wrestling video game, scheduled to release June 29.
In-ring footage and playable character videos were shown of Owen Hart as part of the game and a playable character in the "Road to Elite" mode, the equivalent of a Season Mode found in FIFA or WWE 2K23.
Fans were clearly impressed by the inclusion, and took to Twitter, airing their appreciation for bringing the legend back.
One wrote it was "insane to see him back in a video game," while another said the model of Hart in the game "looks amazing."

Other fans were clearly stunned to see Owen Hart would be in the game, with one writing: "I never thought I'd see Owen in a video game ever again."
Some fans are excited to use the career mode gameplay as a chance to make Hart an in-ring champion, with another user tweeting: "Make him the world champion he always should have been."
Hart has not been made available as a playable character in any WWE-licensed games since 1999, although brother Bret "The Hitman" Hart and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart are sporadically playable in the companies games.
