A woman filmed racially abusing and spitting at a bouncer has insisted she is not racist.
Vile footage of a woman identified as Sharna Walker, shows her hit out at a doorman who refused her entry to a bar on Birmingham's Broad Street.
The video which has gone viral over social media records the 24-year-old from Worcester push a bouncer before calling him a "f****** n*****" and spitting at him.
In an apology shared on Instagram on Monday, Walkers claims she is a good person and was just "seriously drunk out of my head".
In a long statement asking for forgiveness, Sharna says she is "entitled to free speech" without being abused for it.
The post reads: "I would just like to publicly apologise for the situation that happened at the nightclub and I would like everyone to know that I am in fact not racist at all, I have several black co-workers who I love dearly and have even dated black men.
"I was seriously drunk out of my head that night and upset because I wanted to get into the lounge when I had left my ID in the car which was parked over a mile away I was in my heels and couldn't get my ID and I clearly look over 18 but was still refused access to the bar which is why I was angry."
She continued: "But I understand it doesn't justify my words and it may have offended some people but I am not racist at all and at the end of the day we are all entitled to free speech and we shouldn't be abused for it yes my choice of words was wrong but for me to get plastered all over the internet and so much abuse and even losing my job do you guys think that has not affected me?
"I understand what I did wrong and I will not be using that language in the future so I am asking for forgiveness because I am honestly not a bad person so I apologise to anyone I may have offended."
West Midlands Police have confirmed it is investigating the incident and Wetherspoon has barred Walker for life following the sickening outburst.
A spokesman for the pub chain said: "We can confirm the incident took place outside the pub on Saturday night.
"The woman in question had been ejected for her behaviour. She spat her drink towards the member of door staff and also racially abused him.
"She also caused issues as she was leaving. This behaviour is completely unacceptable and the woman is barred for life.
"We will also be pursuing her for criminal damage and passing on the CCTV and bodycam footage to the police."
The bouncer abused in the video, wrote on Facebook: "I haven’t been doing security for years like some, but in the short time I’ve been doing it I’ve seen and been through pretty much anything there is to see and go through whilst doing the job.
"This, however, is something I, or anyone who looks like me shouldn’t have to go through.
"There was a time I’d go through things like this and brush it under the carpet but them times are over."
