A woman has been arrested after terrifying members of the public at a six-year-old’s football match in the Spanish capital of Madrid. It has been reported several parents managed to take a loaded revolver away from her. Police later revealed the woman, who was disguised in a wig and sunglasses, had another loaded weapon in her handbag.
The woman was in the stands in the Alcobendas, Madrid, football game, where mainly six-year-olds were playing, when she pulled out a revolver loaded with six bullets, police sources told Europa Press.
After spotting the weapon, several members of the public rushed towards her.
Two off-duty Policia National officers, who were watching their children’s game, accompanied by two other parents, swiftly managed to restrain the woman until police arrived.
Officers arrested her and seized the two firearms with live ammunition.

Local officials said: “In addition, the detainee had 12 cartridges, four flares and a can of pepper spray.
“She was disguised with a wig and sunglasses, among other clothing”.
The 61-year-old was then taken to the Infanta Sofía Hospital, where she was admitted to the psychiatric unit to undergo examination by medical staff.

Local police have searched the woman’s home as an investigation is launched following the ordeal.
The arrest took place last Friday 7pm when police rushed to the area on Manuel de Falla street.
It was revealed that no one at the youngster’s football game knew the woman.
She had been spotted drinking coffee in a bar nearby.
