Wills and Kates US trip to meet Sussexes will happen, royal watcher suggests

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been tipped to visit Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in the US by royal watchers.

Meghan and Harry have set up shop in Montecito in California having stepped back from the Royal Family in March 2020.

Since then, reports of a falling out between the Duke of Sussex and his brother as well as the former Suits actress and Kate have intensified thanks to several high-profile interviews.

But royal commentators Mandie Decamp and Molly Mulshine believed it is only a matter of time before the Cambridges take a trip over the pond to meet their relatives as well as newborn Lilibet for the first time.

Speaking on Us Weekly's podcast Royally Us, Molly pointed out how the brothers have previous experience travelling to the US.

"William and Harry have visited the US with their friends in their single days just for fun in ways that weren't publicised so it is possible some day," she said.

Mandie, the executive producer for the show, replied: "Yeah, one day it’s going to happen."

But the duo did point out it such a reunion may prove difficult in the near future given the coronavirus pandemic.

Travel between Britain and America remains difficult for those not married to an American citizen.

A royal visit to Meghan and Harry's residence in Montecito would mark a significant moment for the Royal Family which has endured many feuds in the last year.

During their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Suits actress alleged Kate made her "cry" during a disagreement before her wedding – something that royal sources have said left William fuming.

Harry, meanwhile, admitted he and his brother were having "space" apart.

But their meeting at the recent unveiling of the Diana's statue in the Kensington Palace Gardens has allegedly allowed the brothers to turn a "new page".

Harry seemed in a happy mood at the unveiling, smiling on several occasions and speaking repeatedly to his brother.

But a lip reader told Daily Star he was given a word of warning before revealing the statue for the first time.

Meghan did not join her other half for the event due to only recently giving birth to Lilibet. It also means none of the royals have met the newest member of the Royal Family since she was born.
