Watch UKs new ride that takes you up to 8-storey high through 10 inversions

Thrill-seekers finally have a chance to get on a new rollercoaster in the UK which it boasts 10 head-spinning inversions during a 55mph ride.

The brand new ride takes only 48 seconds from start to finish, allowing fans to speed through an 875-metre long track and an eight-storey high loop.

TikToker Sam Gilbert yesterday visited Flamingo Land in north Yorkshire and tried the adrenaline-fuelled roller coaster known as "Sik".

The test footage shows the cart twisting and turning and dipping into a shaded tunnel filled with smoke features.

It then takes the riders up to the air again before going through a world record-equalling 10 inversions.

Sam can be heard giggling and screaming while the ride goes through the never-ending spins.

He pointed out the difference between the new ride and Thorpe Park's Colossus coaster.

"Different first drop and has lap bars instead of over the shoulder restraints. It's 10 times better than Colossus," he added.

"After riding both this year, I can say it's a lot more than a 'marginal improvement'. Never underestimate the importance of no head banging whilst riding!"

He concluded that it was a very smooth ride with no uncomfortable head banging.

Gordon Gibb, chief executive at Flamingo Land, said: "We are all very proud of our achievement in delivery this world-class rollercoaster as our new star attraction at Flamingo Land.

"I am delighted to announce that name for Flamingo Land's amazing new roller coaster, Sik.

"We are also delighted to be collaborating with SikSilk on this project. This represents two fantastic local brands being joined together."

The theme park, which is near Malton, will feature a station area compared to an "amazing night club" with an exclusive SikSilk boutique, combining both street fashion and on-trend music."
