Teen in Putins army used hammer and knife to kill mum with 20 blows to head

A 15-year-old student who is part of Mad Vlad's youth army once used a hammer and knife to bludgeon his own mother to death.

The body of Yana Parkhomenko, 42, was found with some 20 blows to the head and a stab wound to the neck.

The boy, called Artyom, has since been recruited to Putin’s 1.25 million-strong “youth army” in the latest show of desparation for the Russian despot.

Arytom is thought to be a high-flying school student in the Russian city of Volgograd.

The youth army has been compared to the infamous Hitler Youth.

After the horrific murder of his mother, the boy called police to report his mother's death and claimed he had come home and found her dead.

However, police took him into custody after finding traces of blood on his clothing.

He later confessed to the killing, saying he did it after staying up all night to read Russian writer Dostoevsky.

His mother, a cook who worked in a supermarket, was a single parent who “lived for her son”.

A friend of hers said “she loved her son very much, and often spoke about him”, while one of her colleagues said she “was the kindest and most positive [person] in our team…. She always said only good things about her son…”

The youth army, called Yunarmia, was set up in 2015 by Putin ally Nikolai Patrushev.

It's aim is to bring about a “military and patriotic upbringing of young people” and is something of a throwback to Second World War youth armies developed by the Axis powers.

According to PatrushevIt, it also aims to "combat extremism" and “pro-Western liberal values.”

The admission of a killer teen is yet more evidence, if any more was needed, of the increasingly deranged Kremlin.

It comes as former PM Boris Johnson revealed this morning (January 30) that Putin threatened to assassinate him with a missile in the weeks leading up to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
