RTD H, L lines in Denver will be out of service for two weeks

Riders relying on light rail service through downtown Denver will have to make adjustments for the next two weeks, as the Regional Transportation District conducts track maintenance.

Crews will be replacing existing tracks along portions of the H and L lines downtown, RTD said in a Wednesday news release.

The work begins 3:30 a.m. Thursday through Wednesday, Sept. 23.

The L Line will be completely out of service during that time period, RTD officials said. Riders can take bus Route 43 instead, with southbound and westbound stops on California Street and northbound and eastbound stops on Stout Street.

The H Line will be out of service north of the Theatre District — Convention Center station, officials said. Bus shuttles will serve the H Line at the following stations:

  • Theatre District — Convention Center station
  • 16th & Stout station
  • 18th & Stout station
  • 16th & California station
  • 18th & California station

Riders should plan for additional travel time, transportation officials said.
