Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at odds with Netflix over requested edits

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “panicked” and demanding “extensive edits” to their Netflix documentary because they want to “downplay” what they said about King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla, reports claim.

Multiple sources involved in the production told Page Six the requested changes are so extreme that the multi-million pound project could be “shelved indefinitely”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who live in a Californian mansion with two kids Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, agreed a deal reportedly worth around $100 million with the streaming giant.

But they are now reportedly trying to change what is published with one Netflix insider telling the publication: “Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language.

“But it’s their story, from their own mouths.”

The release date of the bombshell documentary was expected to be in December following a new season of popular royal show The Crown.

But it could now be delayed until 2023 with another source claiming: “They’ve made significant requests to walk back content they themselves have provided…

“To the extent that some Netflix staff believe, if granted, it will effectively shelve the project indefinitely.”

But the Netflix insider added they would “stand-by” the project’s creators as they want it to go forward.

In light of the death of Queen Elizabeth, the Duke of Sussex reportedly considered toning down other pieces of potentially controversial work too.

But he has been warned that he is at risk of losing millions of pounds if he decides to change any of his stories within his four-book memoir.

The Daily Star has contacted representatives of the Duke and Duchess for a comment.
