Prince Andrew and Fergie totally blindsided Royal Family with Instagram post

Prince Andrew has been accused of "going rogue" and "blindsiding aides" by royal commentators after making three Instagram posts that were quickly deleted.

In the posts, which were uploaded on the Instagram page of his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, he spoke about his experiences fighting in the Falklands War against Argentina.

The 62-year-old was a Sea King helicopter pilot during the 1982 war which marked its 40th anniversary on April 2 and, in one post, claims he returned from the conflict "a changed man".

Prince Andrew signed off the message with "HRH" – which he was supposed to drop after being stripped of his honorary military titles in January.

The "HRH" was removed from the text and then the whole Instagram post was deleted within a few hours.

Speaking on the latest episode of their podcast Royally Obsessed, Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie said they doubted the posts had approval from Palace staff.

Roberta said: "Buckingham Palace aides were told and they were totally blindsided and had zero clue."

Rachel commented: "I kind of look at it that Andrew was like, 'I showed up at the Service of Thanksgiving, this gives me a moment to start my path back'.

"It makes no sense, my very first reaction was that this guy mainly needs an editor."

She adds: "Who is in their inner circle guiding them to make these decisions, or are they just totally going rouge?"

Meanwhile, royal author Robert Jobson branded Andrew "clueless" for the Instagram post and called his behaviour "bizarre".

Prince Charles and Prince William will not let Prince Andrew have a major role in future events, according to another royal expert.

Richard Fitzwilliams said: "He won't play any kind of a role in the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, of that I think we can be quite sure.

"Prince Charles and William will be totally opposed to it, it's a non-starter."
