Pizza Hut has confirmed it will be closing 29 restaurants across the UK, putting up to 450 jobs at risk in an effort to save the high-street chain.

The chain was rescued from collapse after landlords agreed to reduce rents on its restaurants, saving 5,000 jobs.

Bosses voted to support an insolvency process called a Company Voluntary Arrangement, that would see the its restaurants trade.

Pizza Hut was forced to still close 29 of its branches, taking the company's portfolio from 244 to 215 across the UK.
