A KFC employee has been widely praised after she helped a mum and her autistic daughter during a stressful shopping trip.
Lauren Clarke was out shopping at the DFS Old Trafford store on April 12, with her family and daughter Madison who was showing signs of becoming agitated.
Recognising that Madison was struggling her mum thought she'd distract her with some food at KFC.
Unfortunately the takeaway was only accepting drive-thru and the car keys were with Lauren's mum in DFS, reports the Mirror.
Madison is non verbal so it can be difficult to explain to her what's happening and with her distress only increasing Lauren called the KFC directly to see if there was anyway it could help.
Thankfully the store let Lauren and Madison walk through the drive-thru to order after hearing that the six-year-old was having difficulty.
When in the store Lauren realised she had forgotten her bank card but the kind assistant, Emma, who had also been chatting to Madison, paid for the order herself.
Touched by the generosity and understanding of Emma, Lauren decided to post about her experience on Facebook.

In the post, which has been shared thousands of times, Lauren wrote how Madison is "extremely sensory" and "started to lick objects".
She wrote: "I rang KFC and explained Madison has autism, she is non-verbal and she doesn't understand why we can't go in to get some chicken.
"They clearly heard Madison getting upset and told us to walk straight through to the window at the drive-thru."
"So we did, the lady at the till called Emma was very calm taking my order, she was very polite, smiling away and was talking to Madison.
"I then went to pay for our order and realised I didn't have my bank card on me. Emma immediately said 'Don't worry ill get it for you!"
Lauren added that she'd love Emma to know how much her kindness meant to her and Madison and without her the afternoon could have gone "terribly wrong".
"Anyone who has a child with special needs knows how challenging it can be to completely change a child's routine," she added.
