Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘growing even further apart from the Queen’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are growing further apart from the Queen because they "do things their own way" at whatever the cost to the Royal Family, an expert has claimed.

Katie Nicholl said the Duke and Duchess' decision to publicise their visit to Los Angeles National Cemetery on Remembrance Sunday highlighted the "divide" between the Firm and the couple.

She said the photographs of Prince Harry and Meghan, which were published amid reports Harry’s request for a wreath to be laid at the Cenotaph on his behalf was snubbed, shows the couple "do things very differently" than the Firm.

The expert told Ok! magazine the stray will have only further frayed Prince Harry’s strained relationship with his family, and the Queen and their behaviour could harm their future role within the monarchy.

Ms Nicholl told the publication: "It highlights the great divide between Harry and the royal family."

"Harry and Meghan do things very differently to the royal family and to me it shows how determined they are to do things their own way whatever the cost."

The duke, who spent 10 years serving the military, is understood to have been "deeply saddened" after palace aides refused to grant his request.

It proved the Palace is not willing to bend the rules for Prince Charles' son, Ms Nicholl said.

Prince Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties in March after announcing the bombshell decision in January.

Ms Nicholl said Buckingham Palace will have been watching their behaviour ever since.

In recent months, the Duke and Duchess faced calls for their titles to be stripped from them after the couple spoke out publicly ahead of the U.S. election.

The pair did not affiliate with a particular party, and Prince Harry has denied it was politically motivated, but Meghan did call the 2020 election the greatest election of a generation.

Meghan and her Prince have also faced criticism for their multi-million dollar deal with US streaming giant Netflix.
