Man suspected of killing two dogs in Teller County is arrested in Centennial

A man suspected of killing his roommate’s dogs in Teller County has been arrested in Arapahoe County.

Matthew Stephen Dieringer, 30, was arrested late Sunday night at the Days Inn Motel, 9719 E. Geddes Ave., Centennial, according to the Teller County Sheriff’s Office. Dieringer was wanted on a July 20 arrest warrant for two felony counts of aggravated animal abuse.

Dieringer allegedly beat to death a 7-year-old Australian cattle dog named Suka, as well as killed and dismembered another dog named Hayoda.

Dieringer is being held at the Arapahoe County jail on a $10,000 bond.
