A man found shot on the front steps of a home in the North End is the city’s latest homicide victim.
Police found the wounded man on the front steps of a home in the 700 block of Selkirk Avenue around 9:30 a.m. Thursday after receiving a 911 call reporting the shooting.
The 23-year-old man was rushed to hospital in critical condition where he later died.
The homicide is the city’s 16th of 2020.
Winnipeg police spokesperson Const. Rob Carver wouldn’t say how many times the man was shot or if police have identified a suspect at a Friday morning press conference.
