This is the shocking moment an ITV Central News reporter launched a foul-mouthed rant at a man during filming and warned him that he was "gonna f***ing bang you out".
Journalist Callum Watkinson embarked on the surprising verbal attack after he was seemingly distracted by the man behind him while attempting to deliver his piece to camera in Centenary Square on Broad Street.
Watkinson warned the member of the public that he would "bang him out" if he walked behind him – and then asked him if he worked at Footlocker or McDonald's, BirminghamLive reports.
In a 53-second clip shared on Twitter, Mr Watkinson is first seen delivering a report to camera before he then walks towards the man who he accused of interrupting him.
At one point, the TV reporter says: “I’m not a higher class than you mate, I’ve got a job, have you got a job?”
To which the man replies: “Yeah.”
The reporter continues: “Well don’t f***ing do it and I won’t come into your workplace and start f***ing with you idiot.
“You get me behind me again, I’m gonna f** bang you out.”
“Why don’t you go and get a job and then I’ll come behind you and start being an idiot?”
He breaks out into a sarcastic, mocking dance, pointing his fingers into the air.
Mr Watkinson continued: “Where do you work? Footlocker? Or McDonald' s?”
A unknown voice in the background can be heard saying: “Nothing wrong with that.”
But the TV journalist carries on: “Mate, how about sorry for trying to mess up my work? How about that?
"Do you know how hard it is to broadcast live to half a million people?
“Do you know how hard it is to concentrate?
“It’s quite hard, without someone in the background going ‘Ooh I’m on TV!’”
The video of the rant was shared by the I'mJustBrum Twitter page and by Luke Addis.
Daily Star has contacted ITV Central for comment.
But the footage has provoked anger from members of the public on social media.
Salop1977 tweeted: “Nice … McDonald’s and Footlocker not good enough?”
WidnessTILLIdie posted: “@McDonaldsUK both my daughters worked at “Maccies” whilst at Uni & 6th form. Ones a Chartered Accountant other Airline Crew.. thankyou to @McDonalds great employer.”
Jules said: “Oh state of him. Guaranteed working at footlocker or McDonald’s is way more taxing than talking into a camera, watch tiktok for 5 mins and you’ll see most teenagers these days can do it with zero effort or training.
“Callum Watkinson needs to get a grip.”
