Google Maps captures driver making rude gesture outside reality TV show house

A fan of the American hit home improvement show 'This Old House' was left shocked after they decided to take a look at a renovation that featured on the show using Google Maps.

In 2005 the PBS mega show This Old House went to work on a 1950s property that was like nothing the programme's stars had tackled before.

Known as the "The Cambridge House" renovation it went down in This Old House folklore and was even revisited on the 40th-anniversary show.

It's no surprise that then that followers of This Old House might want to take a look, however ,if you live miles away from the property then the best you can do is take a look on Street View.

One Reddit user, who did just that, posted a photo of the house on a thread but unfortunately, the property was obstructed by a truck and the driver.

And although the image of the truck driver was pixilated he was clearly giving the Google Maps car the middle finger.

The image was shared on Reddit with the headline: "Wanted to see a house from This Old House. This truck driver wasn't impressed."

One person on the thread responded by commenting: "Google has a campaign against overweight truckers."

Another Reddit user clearly impressed by the partial view of the house wrote: "I like this house."

A third slightly confused person wrote: "So Google blurs middle finger gestures also?"

The house in Cambridge, Massachusetts featured on This Old House due to the 1950s property desperately needing an overhaul.

The owner, who was in his 40s at the time, had lived at the property for 13 years and despite it being a revolutionary design when it was built, in 2005 it had become tired.

This Old House started in 1979 and has become a mainstay of American TV culture. In its 42-year history, the show has won 17 Emmy Awards.
