Girl, 18, found dead by sniffer dog after texting mum to say she was on way home

A young girl who vanished after calling her mum to tell her she was on her way home has been found dead in a stream by a sniffer dog.

The remains of 18-year-old Victorine were found near a pond in the small French commune of St Bonnet, according to murder detectives.

A bloodhound sniffed her out after a group of 200 people desperately scoured to find the “pretty young women with bright eyes”.

She was found in a steep area that was “difficult to access” according to local outlet Sud Quest.
