The US President revealed his intentions to also pursue the 2024 election during a campaign event in Minden, Nevada. Speaking to a cheering crowd, he said: “Fifty-two days from now we’re going to win Nevada, and we’re gonna win four more years in the White House.
“And then after that, we’ll negotiate, right?
“Because we’re probably — based on the way we were treated — we are probably entitled to another four after that.”
Mr Trump had already made similar remarks during a rally in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, last month.
He said: “We are going to win four more years, and then after that, we’ll go for another four years because they spied on my campaign.
He added: “We should get a redo of four years.”
Critics have raised concerns that the President may be seriously considering being in office for three terms, which would be outside of the constitutional limits.
According to the 22nd Amendment, “no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”
However, in the past Mr Trump stressed his remarks about serving more than two terms were a joke.
During the Nevada event, which was in breach of Nevada’s coronavirus rules, Mr Trump branded his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, as “the worst” candidate.
He also claimed Mr Biden, who he has repeatedly called “sleepy Joe”, does not know he “is alive”.
He said: “He is the worst candidate in the history of presidential politics. He doesn’t know he is alive.”
President Trump asserted that Mr Biden will be compared to Winston Churchill, who he has previously expressed his admiration for.

He said: “We have a debate coming up in three weeks and here’s the problem.
“Winston Churchill was a great debater.”
He added that if the Democratic candidate “gets off the stage they’re going to say it’s the single greatest debate they’ve ever seen.”
Mr Trump added: “Winston Churchill was nothing compared to Sleepy Joe.”
In a further attack against Mr Biden, the President mentioned his son, Hunter Biden, in the speech, claiming he was “using him is just an excuse to get the super libs in there”.
Mr Trump then took to Twitter to continue his attack against Mr Biden.
He wrote: “Sleepy Joe Biden has spent 47 years in politics being terrible to Hispanics.
“Now he is relying on Castro lover Bernie Sanders to help him out.
“That won’t work! Remember, Miami Cubans gave me the highly honoured Bay of Pigs Award for all I have done for our great Cuban Population!”
