Get ready for some heat.
The Denver weather forecast calls for temperatures to climb to 94 degrees in the city on Friday, but there is a slight chance for thunderstorms.
The National Weather Service pegged the chance for showers and thunderstorms at about 10%, with the most likely time for stormy weather coming between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Winds are expected to be calm during the morning, but could pick up to 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon, with gusts up to 15 mph, forecasters said.
Overnight, temperatures are expected to dip to a low of 64 degrees.
More hot temperatures are on tap this weekend, the weather service said, with highs in the 90s on Saturday and Sunday, and a slight chance of afternoon storms each day. Saturday is expected to be windy, with 20 to 26 mph winds and gusts up to 37 mph, forecasters said.
