There’s something special about testing your brain to the limit while you’re virtually comatose after eating a half-hundredweight of mince pies washed down with some out-of-date Bailey’s you actually had left over from last year.
So we asked TV writer David Quantick, who has contributed to dozens of hit TV shows from Harry Hill’s TV Burb to It’ll Be Alright on the Night if we could nick a few questions from his brilliant new book: Quantick’s Quite Difficult Quiz Book.
The questions range from the straightforward to the… well… quite difficult, may as well give them a go. There'll only be repeats on the telly!

There should be just the right level of challenge here for you to try the quiz on your phone in the loo while everyone else is watching something awful on the telly while still having enough easy questions to try with the whole family after a dangerously-rich meal.
