A dad in the United States has been arrested after his five-year-old daughter's body was found burnt and dumped in a creek, according to police.
Adam Mason was taken into custody in Creek County, Oklahoma. on Wednesday reports The Sun.
He was arrested after a young girl was found burnt to death according to local reports.
However, the girl's identity has not yet been confirmed and her cause of death has not been officially declared.
An investigation has been launched into the motive behind the young girl's death, with family and friends trying to figure out.
The five-year-old attended Bristow Public Schools and was due to start kindergarten next week, according to Newson6.

The Creek County Sheriff’s Office, the Muscogee Creek Nation Lighthorse Police and FBI launched a manhunt in the Gypsy area after the girl's body was found.
Cops found Mason in the back garden of a property a mile away.
However, a woman living at the property claimed she had no idea who he was.
Speaking to KOTV she said the man was "shirtless and hiding in her back yard".
In a separate horrific incident earlier this month a US dad was accused of being the violent killer of his own three-year-old daughter after allegedly torturing her to death.
Howard Jansen III, 29, and his 33-year-old girlfriend, Jacqulyn Smith, are accused of killing toddler Olivia Jansen through fatal abuse, documents from the Kansas Department for Children and Families in the US claims.
Both Jansen – who has the name Olivia tattooed on his face in tribute to his daughter – and Smith are in jail awaiting a court hearing over the death.
The report, which was made public on Friday, claims Olivia’s arms and legs were covered in bruises and she suffered a cut to her head.
The death was caused by significant bleeding at the back of the head of the toddler, it added.
