A body has been found in the search for a missing woman.

Bethany Edwards, 24, was reported missing by her family earlier this month.

A police search was launched with officers saying they were concerned for her wellbeing, BedfordshireLive reports.

Bedfordshire Police said she has links to Stewartby, Bedfordshire and Northampton.

In an appeal, police described her as 5'6" and slim but did not provide information about where she is from.

The force confirmed a body was found at Sharpenhoe Nature Reserve, a National Trust site in Bedfordshire.

A formal identification has not yet taken place, although Bethany's family has been informed.

Police have not said whether or not they are treating the death as suspicious.

Northants Police also appealed for any information on her location due to her links to Northampton.
