Chinese Ambassador to UK’s Twitter account ‘likes’ explicit porn video

The Chinese Ambassador to the UK has "liked" an explicit video of a pornographic act on Twitter.

At some point in the last week, the official Twitter account for Liu Xiaoming hit "like" on the short clip which depicts a sex act.

It remains at the top of the account's "likes", which are public.

The 64-year-old posts frequently on the account, which has more than 83,000 followers. His posts typically comment on political news concerning China.

It's unknown if he is responsible for all activity on the Twitter account or if staff members are also involved in writing or liking posts.

Daily Star Online has tried repeatedly to contact the Chinese Embassy for comment but has been unsuccessful.

The explicit 10-second video was posted by user @aisijimoren1 back on May 6, 2019. It has attracted almost 1,500 "likes" including the one from the ambassador's account.

It's not the only odd sight on Xiaoming's Twitter account.

His account has also "liked" several tweets that are critical of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

"China has always adhered to the principle of making lip service to non-interference in internal affairs so they can murder their own people without condemnation by the world," one tweet says.

"Free Hong Kong, Free Manchuria, Free Mongolia, Free the Uighurs, Free the Shan, overthrow the Thai junta."

Another recently liked tweet says: "Japan is now a democracy while #CCP China find ways to enact concentration camp after all these years. Roles swapped."

A career diplomat, Xiaoming joined the Chinese Foreign Service in 1974 when he was 18 years old.

He has served as the Ambassador of China to the UK since 2010, and has previously worked as the global superpower's ambassador in Egypt and North Korea.

He is married to Hu Pinghua, a fellow career diplomat with whom he has one son.
