Weatherman Matt Taylor has warned BBC Breakfast that thundery showers are set to hit parts of the UK on Friday. He told BBC viewers that the wet weather could turn thundery as we move through the day with conditions turning especially “murky” along the coast. Areas worst hit by storms will be in Scotland and Northern England with the BBC presenter assuring tennis fans the downpours were unlikely to impact Wimbledon.
Taylor told BBC Breakfast: “We will all see some sunshine over the next few days but it is a case of well wearing a bit of optimism on your shoulder if you can.
“Because the dark clouds will gather every now and again.
“There is going to be more and more in the way of showers around.
“Some of those heavy and thundery.”
