Rishi Sunak has been hit by two major revolts from within his own party today.
The PM is facing a new grassroots campaign spearheaded by Conservative donor Lord Cruddas and former home secretary Priti Patel so grassroots Tories can “take back control” following the oustings of Boris Johnson and Liz Truss.
A group of Tory MPs have also written to Mr Sunak warning that tax is too high.
